im back!! in singapore!! yep. this is only gonna be a really short stay. 2wks. im only back bcos singapore airlines is having promotion for flights departing from brisbane to singapore. only AUD500!!! thats at least almost half the price for a normal priced ticket!! after "consulting" a few friends and my dad, i decided to skip 1.5wk of sch to be back in singapore for 2wks.

to be frank, i started getting a little nervous abt coming back the night before. i couldnt even slp. but that was partly bcos i was worried that i wouldnt be able to wake up to catch my 930am flight. in the end, i only slept for less than 2hrs. probably due to nervous-ness, i couldnt eat anything on the flight. only had 2 mouthful of omelette (breakfast provided onboard) and 3 or 4 bites of the pie (lunch provided onboard). the usual 7.5hr flight felt longer than usual. i keep looking at the time remaining till arrival, but each min seems like hours. no joke. i seriously understood how ppl felt when they say that.

when i reached home, i could finally understand the pain of all my friends. the weather is terrible!! raining and was ultra humid!!

howkeat picked me up from my place around 9+ to head to szekiat place to give him a surprise. initally i was thinking of hiding in the boot. but there was a bulky golf set, so i hid at the passenger seats area, trying to squash myself into a ball on the floor. when szekiat came onto the car, sat down and howkeat started driving, i was still waiting for a good chance for me to pop out. they were chit-chatting oblivious to my presence. but less than a min later, i felt a cramp coming up. HA! no joke. so i quickly pushed myself up and surprised szekiat from behind him. he reaction was really funny. he really got a shock and jumped! (yea. even when i think abt it now, i still think its funny and i'll laugh to myself like an idiot)

we took a spin at Marina Sands (as promised by howkeat), then headed to Xin Wang cafe outside Marina Square.

very interesting plastic specs. very flexible!! u can twist and turn and it'll still go back to its original shape!

nxt day is dinner with leong, hengster, elaine, howkeat and shirley. shirley still doesnt know that im back. so im supposed to give her a shock too. well, she did get a shock. and i did too. cos when she saw me, she cried, which made me cry too.

dinner was at a restaurant in Ion. (cant remember the name of it) they have korean and jap food.

finally got to play badminton yesterday after talking abt it for such a long time. attendance : huiying, shiying, keemeng, celina and me.

it's been ages since i last played. as a result, im aching all over today. right arm is aching. both my legs were aching from the ankle onwards up to my ass. sitting down hurts, walking down the stairs hurts, even climbing into the bathtub hurts. ha! wth.

it's been so long since i last blogged that i almost forgot my blogger username and pwd.

this semester passed really quickly. it was so fast that i didnt even know what i've done for the sem.

from howkeat's blog, u guys would have known that kiat and howkeat were here for abt 2wks. it was really awesome time spent together. definitely never be able to forget the fun we had, the HTHT, the captain's speech, etc.

when there was still 1wk more before kiat came, howkeat had to spend time alone while i went for my classes. (sorry friend) but it was fun having howkeat to play monopoly with celina and michael. cos i'll win when there's howkeat!

then comes our dear friend, kiat! this period of time spent together made me get to know him more. too bad we didnt get to know each other during poly time.

was really sad to send the both of them to the airport. i really miss the both of them!!

here's the belated birthday gifts i got from willis and huiying! willis got huiying to buy me the perfume gift set. while huiying got me a notebook (and sticked my name on the notebook), a bangle, 2 pretty hairbands, a wall decor sticker (which really suits me!) and a bath soap from Lush! i really love the hairbands! i wore the red rose one immediately!

went to harbourtown with huiying last sunday. shiying drove us there, together with pearl and her friends.

i know i look tired in the photo, but thats bcos i really am! i didnt have time to do my makeup! cos i only woke up when huiying called me and i only had 10mins to prepare!!!

we didnt buy much. i only bought a belt(AUD3), a dress(AUD10) and a pair of shorts(AUD5). huiying only bought a top! HAA!!

lunch was alright. we had pasta.

celina's friend left a dog in our care for 1 wk cos that friend of hers got some urgent matters back home in taiwan.

it's one very attention-seeking dog. always staring at me when im walking around the house with the innocent look. and for some reason, it likes to sit just outside my door. HA!

im gonna bring it for a jog tmr morning! what a great excuse to exercise! HAA!!

this wk was pretty hectic. there's a 1200-word essay assignment due on monday. i managed to rush it out at around 7am. which also the time that im supposed to give huey a morning call. but who knows what the hell she was doing, i tried calling her for 1.5hrs and she didnt even pick up once!! i doubt no one else would have the patience to keep calling for 1.5hr, but i did. but eventually, i gave up. i sent her a text and i went to slp cos i still got 2 lectures later that day and managed a few hrs of slp.

tues. cheap tues! movie time! caught Alice in Wonderland in 3D with huiying at indooroopilly.

the show was actually not too bad! i dont understand why so many say its not good.

wed, i was chatting with howkeat over skype when my hsemate knocked on my door. when i answered the door, she was telling me her bf fainted in the garage and ambulance is already here. she couldnt really tell me the whole story cos she's in panic mode. hung up the phone and rushed down to check things out. when i was there, her bf was lying on the floor with paramedics around him, asking him what happened and stuff.

my hsemate followed took the ambulance while i drove her bf's car and followed behind ambulance. anw, we're not sure why he fainted cos the docs found out that there's irregular currents from the ECG results. they wanted him to stay overnight for observation, but he didnt want to.

we were waiting for the doc to come tell us whats going on and we took this. he's just being camera-shy when we took this.

they suspected that electric currents might not be passed to the heart regularly, which will cause the heart to stop beating, which might the reason he fainted. but still, he doesnt wanna stay. so we've got no choice but to head home. we left the hospital around 4+am but still in the mood for supper cos we were starving during the few hrs in hospital. had mac!

i've got a 8am lecture so i decided not to slp. but in the end, i dozed off and slpt for around half an hr. luckily i've got jerry to come to lecture. cos he hasnt attended a single lecture and we agreed to go to one together. i've already attended 1 out of 3. and it was really bad. and after this lecture, i wouldnt be going for the 3rd. cos jerry and i ended up playing bingo.

later at night, i went to watch 'How To Train Your Dragon' in 3D with my hsemate and her bf. its actually quite good! i think you guys should go catch it too.

i felt unwell on friday night. sore throat, slight fever and runny nose. gees. it was terrible man. i had lots of tissue for standby and a bottle of water just beside me. i was lying on the bed for at least 3hrs, but couldnt slp. taking howkeat's advice, i shut down my computer and i was slping before i knew it! HA! and i woke up around 4.20pm the next day! hohoo!!!

i've been gone for a while, but im back now! if u're waiting for some updates regarding things that happened when im in sg, then u'll be disappointed. cos im not planning to do so. there's just so many things to talk about! so i'll just post a few pics taken during the last few days im in sg.

there's dinner with wh, hk and szekiat at canton-i at ion. we then drove to sentosa to check out resort world. headed to cafe del mar after that.

there's shopping with huiying and then dinner together with willis at Carnivore at vivo.

there's watching Valentine's Day and dinner at Chili's with willis.

there's supper with hengster and his gf, elaine. we then called shirley who happened to be awake bcos someone happened to text her around that time and she woke up. so i drove us to her block and we chatted for some time at the void deck.

then there's meeting willis for steamboat, which is actually just an excuse to pass him his present. and huey came to join us.

when i was back in brissie, i left for sydney with my dad just after 1 day of lessons. went to meet joachim. it was a great day spent together! and we tried calling huey too. but as usual........

no updates = boring life

boring life will be coming to an end soon cos i'll be heading back to singapore in a wk! i've still got 2 more papers to go, which is irritating the shit out of me cos i keep forgetting the things that i've studied.

anyway, i finally know where the hell is huey!! amazingly, she sent me a msg on fb, giving me some updates. and the most surprising thing of all, i managed to catch her online on fb today! it only lasted for a while though. well, good enough. u can never expect too much from huey. she's now backpacking in indonesia. will be back to sg soon too. hopefully i'll manage to contact her then.

alright, i need to get back to studying even though none of them is gonna get into my brain. arghh!! why am i always the last one to finish exams! (actually i finish exams a few hrs earlier than qianzi. as if a few hrs matters)

it's almost time for countdown! counting down to the days till i get back to sg. ha! after not going back for almost a yr, im getting kinda excited!

actually the things i miss the most is actually mahjong (since all 3 of my kakis graduated), prawning and food.

the only trouble now is finding a place to stay b4 i go back to sg. yep. im moving again. every yr, i move to a new place. that's already not too bad. i've got a friend who move every semester! it's crazy man. i cant imagine myself doing that. cos i simply have too much stuff! i dont wanna imagine packing and unpacking all the stuff. actually, i kinda worry about my belonging. cos if the lease starts b4 i go home, then i can leave my stuff there. if not, i'll need to place them somewhere first b4 going back, then retrieve them when i come back after the summer break.

anyway, to everyone out there, if you have any news of huey, kindly let me know. i've been trying to contact her for more than 1mth, and i just cant seem to get her. grrr. i dont know if i should be getting worried or not. cos it's pretty usual for her not to answer her calls, or switching off her mobile. but this time round, it's really too long.

alright. im currently in the library trying to study, but i keep finding things to distract myself, like blogging now. i reached the lib at 8am just to get a good seat. but believe it or not, when i was there, there's only 1 seat left at my favourite spot. gees.

went for paintball on the last day of the mid-sem break. it was with qianzi's cell grp ppl. paintball was really fun, but it really hurts too. we had a few missions, and i literally crawl on the dirt ground! it's seriously like army training. super tiring.

updating my blog isn't an easy task when the internet is crawling. so kindly be patient.

went to yuen's in sunnybank for grocery shopping cos qian zi borrowed a car from her friend. and that's where i managed to buy mooncakes from, the famous hkg brand - wing wah. i love mooncakes and last yr, i didnt get to eat any!

the price of a branded mooncake like wing wah, is twice the price of a not-so-famous brand! wth! but of cos, always go for the better one!!

dim sum was not too bad. but it seems like qian zi and all were kinda discriminated by the waiters over there cos they didn't speak canto with them. HAHAA!! cos when they asked if there were "cheung fun" in english, the waitress will reply them in a slightly irritated tone. but when i asked in canto, i'll get it without any complaints! HA!

i've been exceptionally hardworking for the past few days. i've been going to the library in the morning, and studied till around 7pm. amazing huh. library is really the place for me to be productive. i can't seem to study at home! (just like what i'm trying to do now.)

econ2040, macro, was on tues. omg. it wasn't good. there was this calculation question which i practiced the previous night. but during the paper, my mind kinda went blank! i didn't know how to do it! wth!!

as for the essay question, there just wasn't enough time to write everything. we only had 1.5hrs, but we had to write an essay that was worth 30 marks, and there are some questions, which requires a short essay too.

now, i gotta prepare for econ2030, micro. whatever.

on the other hand, there's something to look forward to. qianzi's birthday is coming! well, cos she said doesn't want to have a big celebration, so i guess we're just going for dinner. i still have no idea on what to get as her present. i hate thinking what to buy for presents!! i only enjoying the process when buying it. HA!

river festival is tomorrow. i don't really feel like going for it. cos it's just another fireworks thingy and we have to wait there for a few hrs cos we need to get a good place. let's see how it goes.

i've completed my open water course! actually it's completed last wk, but it's just that i didn't have time, or rather, the internet doesn't really allow me to update.

the course can be completed over 4 days.

day 1 - theory lesson
day 2 - practice session in the swimming pool

day 3 - 1st day at sea with 2 dives
it was kinda exciting. cos it's the very first time diving in the sea. many of us got sea sick. i was still quite alright then. the waves were huge. of cos, it's alot better when we get under the water. lots of marine life! colorful fish swimming around. we were practicing our skills while kneeling on some corals. soon, oxygen was running low, time to go back to the surface. it was crazy up there. while waiting for my turn to get back on the boat, the waves just kept covering me. as i was breathing through the regulator (the mouthpiece for oxygen), i realized i was getting lesser and lesser air out of it! luckily i was pretty near the boat then. i signal to the instructor that i was out of air, and he jumped into the water to help me. omg. that was crazy man.

on the 2nd dive, i kept a close watch on my air pressure. making sure i have enough to make it back. HA! anyway, again, we practice some other skills. this time, we had visitors. first, was a polka-dot shark lying lazily on the corals. so many of us didn't see it and we almost landed on it!! luckily it's not a fierce one. and just as we were about done, and going for a swim around, we saw a shark fading out from the corner of my eye. in just a few secs, i see it swimming towards us! it got a little too near for comfort. and bloody hell! it's huge! and i really mean HUGE!! in my mind, i totally freaked out. i could feel my heartbeat increase like crazy and my breathing become very irregular. i had to hold on to my regulator cos i thought my jaws were dropping. HA! i was really worried that the shark would come for me, cos i was having my period (using tampon), but the instructor says it's ok to dive when having a period. anyway, i guess it's just me watching too much movies. cos the shark just swam away. lol!

day 2 - last day of course, 2 dives at sea
while we were travelling out to sea, i was getting kinda worried cos of the saga yesterday. anyway, the instructors on board were really good at calming me down. when we got into the water, the instructors are always keeping a lookout, asking if we're ok. that gave me alot of assurance. we saw sharks, but this time alot further.

on the 1st dive of the day, i was holding onto the rope at the bottom of the sea while waiting for the rest to catch the rope. so i was just slacking, let the current "swing" me left and right. and right in front of my eyes, a large school of fish was doing exactly the same thing! they're just "swinging", not swimming. probably resting or something. alright. that's not the impt part. the impt thing is they're just right in front of me, and it's as if they're staring at me. really awesome! i guess it's cos i wasn't moving much, so they didn't thought much abt me and got close. hohooo!!

had a really good buddy this time. we're always looking out for each other.

cos so many of us were sea-sick, no pics were taken, but today, we took a few. but there were only 6 of us today, while there were 9 yesterday. well, we can choose when we wanna go for the sea dives. it's just me that wanna complete asap. ha!

i know i haven updated for a really long time. but it's actually cos my hse totally ran out of quota. there're many thing, so i'll just make this a brief one.

went to melbourne and cairns during the semester break, went to a couple of graduation ceremonies. the latest one should be kee meng's birthday.

starting with the holidays, first day was free & easy. walking around, going for a jail tour, then to the museum.

we're supposed to be squatting in the unglam way, just like inmates should. but i end up being the only one doing it.

2nd day - melb, great ocean road.
it's just lots of scenery stuff.

on the way, we went bird-feeding

cos it's kinda boring just looking at rocks, we did stupid stuff like this one

we took the helicopter up to see the 12 apostles. pretty interesting.

3rd day - melb, penguin parade.
but before reaching our destination, we stopped by some animal farm and did some feeding. it feels gross. feels like angelina jolie's lips, just 10 times bigger. HAA!!

4th day - melb, free
kee meng and i went to victoria market. the seafood is really cheap! i had oysters! very fresh!

later at night, met up with joachim. huey was supposed to be here to, but she was uncontactable as usual. joachim happened to bump into hazel and 2 other kcpians in victoria market the other day. managed to get hazel's num from chai and called her to catch up. chai would have been in melbourne too if she's not too worried abt the swine flu. just too bad chai.

huey finally returned our call. and after lots of text back and forth. we managed to meet up.

5th day - melb, mt buller
it's skiing at mt buller. it was fun, but i got pretty tired after a few rounds down the slope. cos we need to climb up a flight of stairs to go up, and skiing is over in a few secs!

6th day - melb, free
we decided to check out melbourne university. our conclusion? we're happy to be at UQ. HAA!

7th day - cairns, night zoo.
we reach cairns in the morning. so we had a few hours before we head for the night zoo tour. so we roamed around the city, which is actually pretty small. even the shopping center is small too!

before the night zoo tour includes a dinner. so we were having dinner there and this guy came over and asked if we wanted to try on the dont-know-what-it's-called. and i tried! easy!

8th day - cairns, white water rafting
white water rafting is really awesome. the 3 other people in our boat are from UK. and they're really nice people. our instructor is very cool! the sad thing is i lost the cd that contains the photos we bought. and now i'll just have to wait for our UK friends to send a copy to us.

we were approaching a rapid and our instructor said we could choose to swim thru this one, or just stay in the boat. the only condition is we gotta be good at swimming. so i thought i would be able to manage it. anyway, the whole concept is we have to swim towards to right side first, and when we get thru it, we'll have to swim to the left side, to the shore.

the instructor didnt say what's on the left, and the current pushed me left. and there're lots of rocks!! i got hit all over before i managed to get to the right side. swimming thru a rapid is really no joke man. the water just kept coming! and there's no way to swim properly!! it's like almost drowning! i almost thought i'll just die there. HA!

anyway, i made it out of the rapids alive and here comes the tough part, swimming to the left shore. after trying to keep myself alive thru the rapids, im already quite drained out and the strong currents are not helping at all. anyway, i finally managed to make it to shore and was panting like crazy. then i was searching for kee meng. (among the 4 of us, only kee meng and i took up the challenge. of cos, our 3 UK mates took up the challenge) kee meng didnt manage to swim back to shore. the ppl on the shore had to throw him a rope and pull him back. it was pretty scary cos further down is another rapid and that one is alot worse than the one we went thru.

9th day - kuranda
kuranda is pretty boring. nth but lots of trees!

dinner was at a greek restaurant. they had belly dancing performance and they start throwing their plates on the floor. in the beginning, we thought it was just an accident. it's only when they kept throwing it, we realized it's part of the performance.

i had crabs! but it's still not comparable to the ones in sg. it's so hard to get the meat!

10th day - snorkel
snorkelling is cool. being so close to those colorful fish and stuff is amazing. there's even a guided snorkel tour where a guide will snorkel with us and show us the different reefs as we snorkel. and it's the guy we took the pic with! he's really friendly. he studies marine biology or something like that.

dinner was at a swiss restaurant. i had rabbit meat! HAA! pretty good!

11th day - atv
there's nth much to talk about for atv quad bikes. it's just riding around in the quad bikes. after the whole thing, we're all dusty and dirty.

12th day - trinity beach
we feel so cheated. the guy at the concierge told us trinity beach wasn't too bad and it only takes 30mins to reach there. but it took us almost 45mins or more to get there and it isn't even nice! the water looks a little dirty, kinda like sentosa.

so we decided to have some fun of our own.

13th day - free
i decided to do skydiving again and also attempt bungy jumping. of cos, the rest of the gang are not willing to do it. qian zi and aik lim have been saying that they wanna do it, but they'll only do it after they graduate. it seems like they need a yr to do their mental preparation, which i think is pretty dumb. HA! so i went ahead along, while the rest of them went for a scenic tour, which im not interested at all.

the slot that i went for bungy only had 3 gals, including me. both of them didnt wanna jump first, so i ended up first. i only started getting excited when the crew is tying the ropes to my feet. and when i was at the edge, i can really my heartbeat going faster! not bcos im scared, but im so excited!!

this was taken quite some time ago, when we were out celebrating eric's 25th birthday. ha!

anyway, seems like there's quite a bit of hiccups regarding our melbourne and cairns holiday. cos swine flu seems really bad over at victoria. its got like the highest num of cases!!

we're thinking of a few alternatives
1. change the plan for melbourne to the end of the year, and just go cairns (probably an additional 500 bucks or even more to change the stuff)
2. just go ahead without any changes
3. change both the melbourne and cairns trip to the end of the year (similar costs like in option 1)

i will never gonna agree on option 3. cos thats gonna postpone the date im going back to sg to almost 1mth later! i wouldn't wanna do that. also, if everything is postponed till the end of the yr, what am i gonna do for the 1mth holiday here?!! i dont think i'll wanna go back to sg cos the air tix are just too bloody ex. and i dont feel like working either. which means im just gonna stare into blank space everyday.

i actually like the idea of option 1. but the additional costs incurred is the thing thats bothering all of us. as for option 2, i dont really mind. it's just kinda scary to think that there's almost 1k cases there. we probably would have to take some precaution and stuff. anyway, we wouldnt be coming back to brisbane right aft melbourne. we'll be heading to cairns first. ha! (keeping my fingers crossed)

one rat is dead in the grass patch! just directly outside the window of qianzi's room! ha! what a view! anyway, we're so glad that it's dead outside and not dead in one corner of the house. cos it would be so hard to find it if we're just tracing by the smell and that's damn disgusting!

we're still putting rat poison in some parts of the house, just in case there's more than 1 rat. things seem pretty good till now, cos the rat poison are all intact. hopefully it's not that the rat is too smart to fall for the same trick. lol!

exams are coming in around 2wks! and my family will be coming for holidays!

on the other hand, i've got some stuff bothering me which is damn irritating. it's on and off. wth. but i wouldn't let it bother it anymore! heck!! hohoo!!!

this is damn gross. i've seen the rat in the house at the same spot twice on different days!! and it seems like among the five of us, it's only me that got to catch a glimpse of that disgusting rat!! why must it always be me?!! omg! and it always escapes by the same escape route, which is behind the oven. the other day when i saw it, i shouted for kee meng, who is the only person at home. so we surrounded the kitchen by blocking one side of the kitchen with boxes and the other side with the plastic floor protector. and when kee meng opened the bottom of the shelves, it's nowhere to be seen!! and spent quite a bit of time looking for it, but still can't find it. so we're thinking it must have an escape tunnel like those in cartoons. HAAA!!

we're now trying rat poison to see if it works. i've nv seen rat poison before though. but the one we've got is like instant packet. the bait and the poison is already packed inside the pkt. so when the rat eats thru the pkt to eat the bait, it's also eating the poison. good invention right? anyway, the instructions on the packaging says it'll take around 4 to 7 days to kill the rat. so i guess we'll just have to wait a few more days to see if it's really working. omg. i definitely hope it works. if not, i wouldn't dare to be at home alone, or go to the toilet at night. ha!

i told ming hong, david and en jing about it. all the 3 of them gave me totally random but really very funny solutions. but tkx to them, im feeling much better. (cos i was really getting very paranoid) cos i had a really good laugh. =)

i'll be spending my semester break in melbourne and cairns! hohoo! after all the discussion, we've decided on melbourne and cairns! you guys may be thinking they're at diff corners of australia. but we weren't thinking abt that at all. ha!

anyway, we'll be going on the 9th july, coming back on 22nd july. yep! thats a very long holiday! but it isn't very cheap either. just the air tix (brisbane -> melbourne -> cairns -> brisbane), accomodation, attractions and stuff, it already cost us almost A$2k each! and that's not even included our expenses there, like our meals, shopping, etc. BUT! we're actually doing quite alot of stuff in each location.

anyway, im still considering whether i wanna do bungy in cairns. but it seems like im the only one who's interested! they say they'll only be there to provide me with moral support, period. sheesh. i've got lots of time to think cos i can always book it when im there. but i think i really wanna do it!! can't wait!!

was pretty worried abt ECON2300 when i started studying for it on monday, cos even after looking through the lecture notes, i still don't know whats going on. qian zi feels the same way too. so we decided that we need to get the software so that we can at least practice doing to tutorials. (this course is about econometrics. and a software is being used to generate output from the data. and from the data given, we calculate all kinds of stupid crap.)

anyway, since monday was a holiday here, i spent my day watching videos. i watched "Defiance" and "Role Models" and some misc shows.

while we were in sch on tues, we somehow got hold of the serial num of the software and managed to get it working on our laptops. and since then, we've been doing our tutorials. willis came to our place to study cos he doesn't know whats going on as well.

anyway, willis was at our place at night. and when we completed our targetted tutorial, we started playing poker with grapes. ha! yes. grapes!

yep! thats my messy room. and i don't look very glam cos i need to get all the hair up so i can study better. ha! and it's quite cold. but willis doesn't seem to feel anything. wth.

anyway, i lost twice like really terribly. omg. i can't believe im really down on my luck. this sem is such a bad sem for me. i haven won anything in gambling this sem!

ever since the paper on thurs, i've been on my slacking mood even though there are still 2 more papers waiting for me. of cos, there's still some time before it arrives, so i decided to give myself 2 off days since i studied so hard for the thurs paper. ha! so i practically did nothing but to watch youtube or whatever shows i could get my hands on.

did a little shopping with qian zi on friday and we gossiped a lot since there's only the 2 of us. some things she said made me think a little.

saturday was anzac day. nothing special for us though since we didn't want to wake up early to catch the marching and stuff. instead, we decided to go for dinner in the city. we had "wah" for dinner. considered quite disappointing cos we heard from a few people who highly recommend this place.

since dinner wasn't very satisfying, we wanted to have pancakes. but they're charging additional 15% because it's anzac day!! gosh. change of plans. watched "Knowing" instead. we've been wanting to catch it for quite some time. anyway, the show wasn't too bad. just that some of the effects weren't that superb.

i was really stressed yesterday when i was studying Macroeconomics Theory till i almost cried. i can't seem to answer the past year exam qns! don't tell me it bcos i didn't study well, cos i've been studying like i've never studied before! im studying even more than i did for 'O' levels. so i tried talking to hengster and eugene about it. amazingly, yeow hwee popped up too.

yeow hwee just came to ask me the reason for me being online all day long. but it's bcos im home studying!! and we chatted a little. yes. he still hasn't change a bit.

it's the mid-sem break! but our plans for wet&wild and sea world weren't successful cos it was raining. and when it rains, wet&wild will stop operating those rides and there wouldn't be any shows in sea world. and bcos we're all having our mid-sem exams immediately after the break, we can't really go around having fun for so many days.

on saturday, we decided to go for movies, then dinner, then ktv. watched "17 again" and "race to witch mountain". i think "race to witch mountain" isn't too bad. worth watching.

had korean food for dinner.

we had korean rice cakes and 2 hot pots. spicy but delicious!

then we went to ktv at chinatown.

the 5 of us had to squeeze in a small room, cos that's the only room left. we had a crazy time in there with lots of funny videos and pics which can never be leaked out. or else, we wouldn't be able to face the world. ha! so i'll just have a few failed shots here. ha!

had a so-called housewarming on monday. invited some friends over. some couldn't make it, but still, it wasn't too bad.

when everything was ready, we started the feast! we prepared lasagna, bee hoon, chicken wings, char siew and veg. the guests brought some dishes as well.

the party ended quite early cos joanne joanne left her keys in the room and she'll need to go back early to get someone to open the doors for her. (they all stay in hostel except for 1 or 2) and since it was already dark, we can't possibly let her walk back all alone. so everyone left too.

after all the cleaning up, we took some "household" pics. pretty stupid ones actually. so i guess once again, i shall just upload those that are more normal. HA!

i was very demoralized on wed cos i lost my hp strap. well, it's not just stupid looking, cheapo hp strap, but i got mine from mini cooper! it costs like 30 bucks! (i had the red one. got it from singapore)

i only realized when i was in my last lecture of the day and there was no way i could track it back. gees. so in the end, i wasn't listening to the lecturer for the whole lecture. instead, i was chatting with a friend for almost the whole lecture which lasted 2hrs. HA!

it's my turn today, AGAIN, to cook. well, im in-charge of cooking on weds & sat. of cos i don't do all the cooking alone. there's always 2 of us cooking together for each meal. decided to have lagsagna and corn for today cos im tired of eating rice everyday. anyway, cos we haven got the right cheese, i made do with normal grated cheese. well, the cheese sauce was almost a flop, but after baking, it wasn't that bad.

anyway, there's a good news today. we finally settled our dining table problem after 1mth or so. cos it's damn troublesome to get to their customer service. when we call and reach the operator, they'll always say that they'll get a customer service officer to call us back. but the thing is, they don't call us back immediately! they take a few days to call us back. the worst thing is they hang up after a few rings. when i finally found my phone in my bag, they've already hung up. the sad thing is, when we asked them if there's a num we can call back directly, they'll ask us to call their hotline, which means we gotta go thru the same old process all over again. and thanks to the excellent service, we have this mess around for more than a mth. (u probably can't see the problem with the table, but if u look close enough, u'll see that the table is missing 1 leg cos it can't be screwed in.)

qian zi's mum called, and after a while, her mum asked for aik lim. then, aik lim has been taking qian zi's arm as the telephone cord for about 10mins. alright. this is pretty random. ha!

im back to blogging again! i think i was missing for like 4mths? cos during the 3mths in singapore, i was busying working my ass off and meeting up with ppl. and the 4th mth, i haven got any internet up at my house. (cos i moved to stay with my friends in a big house, and the service provider take damn long to setup everything) anyway, we had lots of drama with our internet. but now it's up and working, which is good!

i doubt i'll post anything i've done in singapore cos it's too damn long ago. so, yea.

anyway, i went to DFO yesterday. alone! cos my housemates had to attend church and the rest had to study for their exams. ha! which is actually good. cos i took damn long in trying clothes and stuff. managed a few good deals. i was pretty amazed by myself cos i resisted myself from buying quite a handful of things like bikinis, shoes, shorts and tops. HA! next week shall be harbourtown!!

i promise i'll update everything after im back from taiwan & hkg. ha! yep! im actually now in taiwan now. after taiwan, we'll be heading to hkg. =) anyway, i think i overestimated taiwan. i didn't get to buy anything other than lots of FOOD!!!

there wouldn't be alot of updates these days cos exams are coming soon. or rather, in 2wks!! but guess what, i haven really started studying yet and i don't feel the exam stress!! WTH!!

anyway, my friends and i have just confirmed a 5-bedroom house and we'll be signing the contract in a few hrs. gees....... im not really sure if we made the right choice. cos we've only seen a few houses, and this is currently the only one that fits our criteria. and worst thing is, there were 2 grps of people coming to view the house while we were viewing too. cos we were worried that the house might be taken up, so we made our decision on the spot. HA! yea, i know...... it's kinda fast. but the good thing is that it's actually not that far away from my current place. but the bad thing is i'll be paying empty rent on both sides. cos i've already paid for the one that im currently staying yet and i'll need to pay for the new house. geeessssssss...............

talking about exams, there're lots of these trees around these days.

the aussies here say that when u see these flowers, u'll know that exams are near. indeed!! the purplish stuff are flowers and there're no leaves on these trees at this time of the year. there're 2 extremes sayings for the flowers. some say that if the flowers fall on your head, you'll fail your exams. of cos, the other extreme will be that you'll get high distinction for your exams. of cos, i don't wanna risk. HA! ok...... this is very random.

haven been updating for quite some time and many are starting to complain. ha! sorry abt that. i've forgotten those tt were way back, so i'll just update you guys on things that i can remember. so be prepared for a really LONG post.

a wk or 2 before the mid-sem break was qian zi's 21st. so aft our lessons, we went to have dinner at Verve. a modern italian restaurant. you might find it familiar, cos when chai and bernadette were here, we ate there too. ha! we only had a simple dinner cos there's still sch the nxt day.

a few days later was hui ying's 20th. we had dinner at a korean restaurant, then we headed to their hse for part2 of the party. the purpose of part2 was to get her drunk. ha! of cos, in between, we tried getting each other drunk too. and can see from the pics below that many of us are turning pretty red, especially me. ha!

then the mid-sem break started! one of the plans was to go to Australia Zoo! well. it's not that bad, pretty fun. managed to rush to almost all the shows. but the tiring thing is that the journey from Brisbane to Australia Zoo is almost 2hrs!! well, tts if you're taking the train. but if you're driving, i guess it only takes an hr or so.

then came another friend's birthday. 24th birthday if i didn't remember it wrongly. had chinese food for a change this time round. but it was pretty far away, and my friends and i took the birthday dude's car there. but before the dinner, we had to lure him out of the hse and delay him for some time before going to the restaurant cos some other friends wanted to decorate their house for the 2nd part of the party. there wasn't as much drinking though, but still very fun!

the next plan for the mid-sem break is whale-watching! we've been talking abt it for ages and we finally get to go!! it was magnificent!! but there weren't as many whales as i've expected. probably because their migration is almost over. so i guess we can go again next year during the mid of winter where many of them will be migrating together with dolphins too! but here's a warning to those that have sea-sickness. get ready to puke like crazy. HA! cos the boat actually shakes pretty badly and many ppl on the boat are puking. of cos, im NOT one of them. =)

a few days later was the last of our mid-sem plan, that is to go to Wet&Wild!! wohoo!! it's actually pretty fun!! but we spent quite a bit of our time just to queue. that's probably why we didn't get to take all the rides available. but it was really fun! and one advice to people planning to go - go with even numbers! luckily there were 8 of us, which is a pretty good num. cos the rides were either for 2 or 4. i guess we'll be going again to make sure we've played everything there.

dinner was at a korean bbq restaurant. cos we were there pretty late, so we were worried that there woudn't be food left, we took quite a bit of food and we couldn't really finish!! the waitresses kept asking us if we're able to finish the food cos they really do charge for wasting!! gosh. we went thru alot of finish everything. part of the plan was to stuff the mouth with alot of food and puke it all out in the toilet. HA!

this is pretty much what happened. and how i spent my 1wk break. the days just passed like that!! omg. and in 1mth, i'll be having my finals!! URGHHHH!!!! but then again, it means i'll be going home!! heh. but that's something bothering me. that is, house hunting!! yea. im most probably moving out of my current place and stay with my friends next sem, but we haven found any suitable house yet! grrrr... we'll see how it goes then.

anyway, a very stupid thing happened yesterday during my Financial Management paper. as we were all seated next to each other in the lecture theatre, there were 2 diff sets of qn papers. one was in blue, the other in yellow. so i got to blue one. and it was time to start doing, when i opened the paper (it was all MCQ), for each and every qn, one option is in bold. i was thinking it might be the ans. so when i read the 1st qn, the ans was indeed the one in bold! so i proceeded on to the 2nd qn. just before i could write down my calculations, the lecturer announced that there was a small technical error and everyone laughed. HAA!! the ones in bold is indeed the ans!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!! how dumb can it be?!!!!

so the blue copies were collected back. and guess what they told us. they said the lecturer went to get the spare version, and let us chat around. wth!! when those with yellow version still have their paper with them?!! tsk tsk.. anyway, when the lecturer came back, the spare version was given out. BUT!!!! there weren't enough to go around!! WTH!!!!! anyway, bcos of this, the paper only started 1hr after the official time. gees.........

im sorry for not updating, but it's all because the whole unit of mine hit the internet quota!!! can't really open a website!! i can only use msn. that's all. (i'm now blogging in sch while waiting for a friend to finish class) that's how pathetic i am. but i think it's gonna be up soon. so i'll update soon, of cos, after my papers and assignments.

anyway, i bumped into a sicko yesterday while waiting for a bus to go buy groceries. here's what happened. i was listening to my ipod, eating minties and this black guy said something beside me while i was looking at another direction. so i pretended that i didn't see anything. (but i really didn't hear anything) so, he came forward to me and said i had very nice sunglasses. which was very dumb. then he started asking me qns like where am i going tonight, what's my phone number, etc. i gave him stupid ans. luckily the bus came, and i managed to run away. but guess what he said before he left!! he said he liked what the sweet is doing to my mouth. OMG!! DISGUSTING!!!! grrr........

oh! i probably wouldn't be going back to SG around mid nov as planned, cos my family might be coming over for holidays, and of cos, traveling to other states as well. if they're really coming over, that will be around 22nd nov cos my sis gotta wait for her PSLE results and need to submit the sec sch application stuff. so, that means i'll only be back during dec!! ahhh!!! the bad thing is my official holiday starts 16nov! imagine if my exams end earlier! arghh!!!!

I LOST MY PHONE!!!!! omg. i can't believe i lost my phone! this was what happened. my friends and i were early for the next class because the previous lesson ended early. so we put our bags in the room and headed for the toilet (with my phone in hand, cos i was waiting for a reply from a friend). when i went into the cubicle, i happily put my phone on top of the toilet roll thingy. but i didn't take it out with me when i left the cubicle!!!

the best part is i didn't even realize it only more than 2hrs later!! cos aft the toilet trip, we had to rush back cos class was gonna start soon. and when it ended, we headed to the refectory to get lunch and also discuss about our exchange trip. (we have 1hr break) then we left for our next lecture. it was only till half-way thru the lecture then i remembered i was waiting for a friend's reply. i turned my bag upside-down and still couldn't find my phone. then i tried to recall what i've done and TADAAA!!! i left it in the toilet!!! i tried calling back, it was ringing, but nobody picked up the phone. grrr..............

so we met up with the grp and played Last Words while waiting. the fireworks is supposed to start at 7pm, but it's already very packed at 3pm. one of the subjects was "words with 2 same alphabets". so we were coming up with words like "lollies", "jellies", etc. then polo (who's in my team) suddenly came out with "jesus". we were like.. WOW!! that's a nice one! and we won that round!! hahaaa!!! cos everyone was busy laughing and didn't come out with other words before the buzzer buzzed.

the mid-semester exam is just a few days away, but i just can't seem to concentrate on studying. yea. i know it's bad. many issues on hand at the moment other than mid-sem exams. there're things like going for exchange (cos if i wanna go on the 2nd yr 2nd sem, i'll need to apply them now. and we gotta to go find out what are the list of modules we can do over there, and send it for approval by the course coordinator. my friends are interested in going to UCLA. what's worse is if we're really going there, in order to apply for the student visa, we have to go all the way to Sydney for a face-to-face interview!!), whether to continue staying alone nxt year to find a house to move into with a grp of friends, where to go for holiday during my mid-term break (which is only 1wk), etc........

i seriously hate the idea that we need to have some qualifications to find a decent job. come on! u'll NEVER use the things u learn in sch when u're out working! ok...... this is really random cos i really hate the idea of studying..... i prefer the life i had when i was wrking compared to the life im having now. grrrr... alright. no more ranting.

haven been updating for a while bcos the internet here is pretty unstable. life in singapore has been too good with the unlimited download and internet is always wrking well, unlike here. at my place, each room is now given a download quota of 3GB! 3 pathetic GB!! grr.... well, of cos, if u wanna have more, u'll have to pay for it at $5/GB.

what's worse was i got sick!! i've got cough, runny nose, slight fever and the worst of all, sore throat!! i totally couldn't speak for 3 days! wth. got medicine from the pharmacy in sch, and it's bloody ex! well, it least my sore throat got better.

anyway, i finally edited some pics taken from EKKA. EKKA is like a big carnival thingy, with lots of stuff. River Festival is coming, and i heard the fireworks displayed then will be damn good. i think it's on this coming saturday. will post the pics then. as for now, make do with pics from EKKA. ha!

20080808 - Olympics opening!!
went for dinner with qianzi's hostel friends at Chinatown. aft tt, qianzi, aik lim n i headed to southbank for movie -> Mama Mia!! ok. i know we're kinda late, but still, at least we get to catch it right. anyway, i think it's not that bad. it's just that when Pierce Brosnan was singing, i couldn't help but laugh. i think it's cos his image in my mind is still at James Bond. LOL!

aft tt, we went to Suncorp Piazza to catch the screening of the Olympics opening. before everything started, there was some kungfu performance.

urghhh!! internet at my place is super super slow during the normal hrs cos our unit hit the internet quota. (i guess u guess haven heard of internet download quota for dinosaur years right. exactly!!! unlimited download quota has been in singapore for like N years, and here in Brisbane, there's still something called download quota!! i pity the ppl staying at the hostel more cos they're quota is 200MB a mth!! if they need extra, they'll need to purchase themselves. i think 1GB cost A$10.)

the normal internet speed is only on during early mornings and after 2am! and it seems like the everything will only get back to normal 2wks later. grrr!! tts the reason why i can't update my blog aft huey left and change my template. (ha! howkeat, im really going to change it soon!) luckily i've managed to put some pics up on facebook.

greetings from shenzhen!! well, reached hkg on tues.. stayed there for 2 nights.. now im in shenzhen.. aft 2 nights, i'll be heading back to hkg again.. but i'll be going there alone.. my dad will still be in shenzhen.. he'll be there till sunday or monday i guess..

anyway, dinner with dad's friend on the 2nd night was great!! it was at some high-class jap restaurant.. we had a teppanyaki set.. guess what's in the set.. there's fish, steak, abalone (fresh abalone!! IT WAS STILL MOVING!!!), foie gras, fried rice, miso soup, beansprouts.. and we had sashimi too!! lots of different types of sashimi!! gees.. yummy!! but guess how much the bill sum up to? its almost HKD3000!! hohoo!! but the friend insist on paying.. so, fine.. cos anyway my dad says when the friend is in singapore, he's the one treating.. hahaa!!

my bro had his shoulder operation yesterday.. seems to be a pretty successful one.. for those who don't know, ever since he dislocated his shoulder during our holiday at beijing, he's shoulder dislocated pretty often.. even just by swinging his arm back while swimming freestyle, it could just come off.. hahaa!! even though it happened so many times, i wasn't even there to witness it a single time!! grrr.. cos i really wanna see how it looks like and take a pic of it.. HAHAAA!!

anyway, he bought PS3 at the IT fair the day before.. wth.. i thought he'll be getting a wii.. anyway, that's gonna be his bday present.. (even though there's still a few mths to his bday) and my parents bought a new TV from Sony cos the one in the living room is kinda cranky.. that means i'll haven 5 TVs at home!! wth..

btw, congrats to mr. hengster for doing so well in his exams!! hohoo!! continue wrking hard!!!! =) june is a mth full of bdays.. so i have to remember to wish those friends of mine while studying.. gees.. so appreciate!! LOL!!

had my first paper yesterday night.. it was an essay-based one.. so we've gotta write 2 essays.. for me, i wrote like 3pgs for each essay.. during and aft the paper, my hand was cramping like nobody's business.. hahaa! anyway, really hungry aft my paper ended.. cos it ended around 8.15pm..

decided to take a bus home with a friend who lives kinda near me.. we were all the way at the back of the bus.. when we reached our stop, we had difficulty getting to the door.. so, the driver not knowing that we have not alighted, closed the door and headed for the next stop.. the driver couldn't hear me even though i was shouting away.. it was a bad situation cos i was in an awkward position facing a guy.. don't even wanna elaborate on the details..

anyway, managed to get down at the next stop.. but did quite a bit of walking to get back..

as for the paper today, the MCQs are killing tons of my brain cells..

here's a pretty quick one..

met up with chai and victoria on sunday.. had lunch at Nando's.. bernadette came aft that.. then we headed to the museum.. was looking for some animal museum, but couldn't find it.. ended up at the art gallery instead.. there were lots of artwork, pretty good.. high-class eh.. spent quite a bit of time there..

found the animal museum aft we left the art gallery.. pretty interesting.. didn't know where to go aft that.. cos it was arnd 5+ and everything is closed.. was thinking of movie, but the show was arnd 6.30pm.. went to take some pics with some graffiti then headed to a turkish restaurant for dinner.. the food was not bad..

went to Three Monkeys for coffee and cake.. chai and bernadette played chess.. for the 2nd game, victoria and chai formed a team while bernadette and i another cos we didn't really know how to play..

the guys at another table were even betting to see who would win the game.. anyway, we left the place arnd 11+ cos victoria needs to catch the bus.. (once again, i hate the transport here.. bus/train comes every 30mins?!!! bloody hell) it was cold outside cos it was raining juz now.. cos i've already missed my last bus (which is 9.37pm), i definitely need a cab.. so got a cab, dropped every1 then headed back home..

on monday, met for lunch at Verve again cos chai loves it so much.. then i headed to sch for a revision workshop.. met up with them again.. they bought doughnuts and stuff.. then it was time for them to go back to their hotel to get their luggages and head to the airport..

met up with chai and bernadette for dinner on friday together with her friends, including my tutor.. hahaaa!! (there were arnd 12 or 13 ppl in all) had dinner at a chinese restaurant named "Yahoo".. they serve good chinese food man!! but it's so far away from my place.. tsk tsk..

while waiting for food to be served, we're waiting for 2 of their friends to come.. guess what.. 1 of the 2 friends that they're waiting for is my housemate!!! LOL!! and the other is her bf, whom i know too!!!!! OMG!!! another shock!! now i know what chai meant when she said that the world is smaller in australia.. hahaaa!!! gosh..

had desserts aft that and then was poker at bernadette's friend's hse, aka my tutor's hse.. HAHAAA!!! 2 more friends came.. we played 2 games.. and it ended like 2+am.. it was really fun even though i lost both games.. but im getting to understand the game better.. heh.. tutor sent us back and i reach home around 3am..

chai and bernadette arrived at brisbane today!! and chai msg me like 7am!! with my hp just beside me, i couldn't not take a look at it.. exchanged a few msgs and i went back to slp..

woke up.. headed to sch.. when classes end, headed to the city to meet chai.. called chai when i was on the bus.. she's still slping, but i somehow heard 6pm.. so i decided not to head home, but head to the city instead.. at around 6pm, chai called to say to meet at 7pm.. hahaha!!! gosh.. bought biscuits from Woolworths in case i die of hunger..

finally they're done, met them and headed for dinner.. wanted to have Korean food, but those we went were already closed.. headed to Pancake Manors instead.. ha! first time there! tkz to QQ who gave me the directions.. victoria came too! the pancake was good!! ok.. crepes not bad too..

bernadette's friend was suggesting poker at their place.. since they're picking us up from the hotel, we headed to their hotel first and came down when her friend arrives..

the moment we saw the friend, i got a SUPER SUPER BIG SHOCK!!! that guy is my tutor!!! HAHAAA!!!! omg.. it was so weird..

so they played poker.. i didnt join in cos i didn't know to play.. but victoria and i teamed up during the 2nd game.. gosh.. poker is really an interesting and stressful game!!

gees! i didn't realize that i haven been updating for a long time!! other than nth much has happened, i was pretty busy with my assignment.. but the assignment has just been submitted earlier today.. which means im free from assignments!! but guess what, exams are coming in around 2 wks time and i haven done any preparation!! omg.. how scary is that..

but the good thing is that it means im going home soon!! hohoo!! and i've already got a list of things that i wanna eat and do when im back.. LOL!!

last saturday was grocert shopping again.. as usual, went to 2 places.. toowong and city.. bought a bottle of white wine on the way, and not forgetting to buy a wine glass.. ha!! important ok!! imagine drinking wine from a mug?? sounds and looks weird.. anyway, alot of lifting and carrying.. but i guess i've already got used to it.. ha!

sunday i went to harbourtown again! yes!! again!! cos i was so irritated by the fact that i didn't get to walk around the whole place the other time i was there, i decided to go again.. of cos, i did pray that i wouldn't have any headache.. ha!

i was there for around 3 to 4hrs only, cos i wanted to get back to brisbane in time to catch fireworks.. but i still manage to get like 4pcs of clothing.. so it isn't as bad.. still, i did miss out a few shops.. but thats fine.. im gonna visit harbourtown again.. but thats probably during the 2nd sem.. exams are actually approaching!!

anyway, back to brisbane, my initial plan was to go home and put the bags down and head back to the city again.. but the transport here is so lousy.. bus comes like every 30mins.. during late hours, it only comes every 1hr!! so i decided not to go home, but to find a good location to sit down and wait.. (and it's like a 1.5hr wait in the cold weather!!)

i could only sit down, listen to my iPod and stare into blank space until 2 korean guys came up and chat with me.. well, at least they helped me past some time.. but i had lots of difficulty trying to understand what they're saying.. lol!

fireworks started without any warning.. and don't ask me about photos cos i don't have my camera with me!! my camera is spoilt and it's still in singapore!!! to make things worse, my hp ran out of batt!!!!! grrr... anyway, the fireworks lasted for abt 15mins and wasn't that bad.. i've got a really good view.. nobody's blocking me cos i was just sitting along brisbane river.. hahaa!!

left the place aft the fireworks and happen to bump into a friend while on the way back.. since the both of us didn't have dinner, we had dinner together at a korean restaurant.. took a cab back together cos my friend stays in the sch and it's definitely along the way..

so i really did wake up early to go to Gold Coast.. took a bus to the train station, then took a train.. fell aslp and managed to wake up just in the nick of time.. ha! waited for the bus to bring me to Pacific Fair..

the bus journey was pretty long and i got to realize that i could have taken a bus from another train station and that will be alot faster.. anyway, was walking around, popping into shops, but nth caught my eye.. in order not to leave the place empty-handed, i bought a necklace.. no offence, but i seriously think australia's fashion is.. well, i don't know what to say.. maybe it's just me.. had yaki soba in the food court and it was terrible.. it was sweet like nth but i just had to finish it..

i was really getting bored to Pacific Fair, so i decided to take a bus to Harbour Town instead.. the place is actually pretty big, but headache struck me just b4 i got there.. so i didn't have the mood to walk around the whole place.. took a bus back to the train station to head back to Brisbane.. needless to say, i slpt through the journey..

back to the city at around 7+, bought burger for dinner and took it back home to eat.. the burger was already getting cold, due to the weather.. ha! didn't wanna eat it there cos im suffering from the bad headache..

conclusion, i only bought a pathetic necklace.. might have got more stuff if i had more time in Harbour Town.. but i guess i'll leave that to the next time! =)

yesterday night i was thinking of what to do with eggs in the fridge that are gonna expire soon.. so, i decided to try out the hkg dessert.. can't really recall what it's called.. in simple terms, it's steamed egg.. hahaa!

from what i know, most of time, it's either made with egg yolk or egg white.. to make things easier.. i decided to make the one using egg yolk.. so i used 3 eggs.. i didn't know what to add.. so i just added what i think was in it, which were sugar, milk and some water.. didn't know how long to steam it too.. so i set my rice cooker to steam it for 20mins.. yea.. i've got a multi-purpose rice-cooker.. other than cooking rice, porridge and steaming, i can bake cakes with it too! =)

aft 20mins, it's food tasting time! well, the taste is there but the texture is not there.. it's not smooth at all.. i think i better go find some recipe online next time..

as for dinner, i made my own al funghi.. it's really easy.. cook the pasta.. in the meantime, cut the garlic and mushroom.. i totally overestimated the pasta i had left.. it's countable!! so i cut lots of mushrooms.. ha!

i've nv cooked this b4, but it actually turned out nice!! but there's still improvements to be made.. most importantly, i should have more garlic.. ha! oh.. and add lesser water cos it turned out a little too wet.. other than that, i think it's superb!! hohooo!!!

will be going to Gold Coast tomorrow to walk around.. supposed to go with a singaporean friend.. but she decided not to go cos she said her housemates have been partying these few nights and she hasn't slpt well.. but still, im still going.. i don't mind going alone.. =) i didn't wanna go with a big grp, cos it's gonna be so troublesome satisfying every1 (which i hate).. so, i've decided to go alone.. ha!

first stop of the day, city.. travelled to the city.. walked to Crazy Clark's to get cheap toilet paper chopping board and knives.. i bought 24 rolls of toilet paper.. hahaaa!! then i went to The Reject Shop.. bought fruit juice.. cos it's cheaper there..

headed back home to put things down.. the bag that carried the fruit juice gave way when i alighted from the bus!! wth!! luckily the fruit juice comes with a handle.. if not, i dunno how am i gonna carry a 3L bottle back with a big bag of toilet roll..

threw the things in my room and headed to the bus stop again to head to Toowong to get some groceries cos it's Anzac Day, a public holiday tmr.. nth will be opened.. wouldn't wanna starve to death..

went to Woolsworth first.. then, i went to get a kebab for dinner.. next was to Coles.. you must be wondering why i need to go to 2 diff supermarkets right.. it's bcos they're selling the same thing at diff prices!!!

haven been blogging for quite some time.. it's actually cos nth much has happened.. it's just sch and home.. and a very small factor - studying.. cos of mid-sem exam.. it juz ended today.. i've only got 2 papers and both of them have to fall on saturday.. im glad i got through it.. cos i was really worried about one of the modules.. but in the end, it didn't turn out that bad.. i was already prepared to stare blankly at the paper.. hahaa! u can imagine..

anyway, gotta thank a few ppl here.. 1st, hengster!! hengster video called me through msn the other night.. im sorry that im gonna say this, but the moment i saw his face, i started laughing.. hahaa! no offence.. miss all of his lame jokes.. and i really felt good aft catching up with him.. im glad that he's doing something abt his future.. we shall work hard together!!

next up, joachim! saw his msn nick and realized that he's in australia.. so i decided to text him.. the next moment, he called! did alot of catching up!! i think we haven chatted for at least 2yrs.. he said he'll drop by brisbane when there are any holidays.. i will provide him with the lodging (since i've got a double room) and he'll provide the food (cos he's doing some culinary stuff).. cool!!

another one will be david! he called me on msn on one of the nights.. i was pretty shocked actually cos we haven been chatting ever since i left singapore.. still as lame as ever..

i know it's been a while, but im back blogging again! it's actually bcos my dad is here, so we've been travelling around.. which is why i do not have as much free time.. LOL! so hold back your complains till the next time! =)

so dad came on last wed.. on that night, i went to a meeting with him.. gees.. i don't understand a single thing they're discussing..

anyway, for the nxt few days, we went to get some groceries and went to the Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) to shop around, since there's nth much in the city..

then we headed to Sydney.. cos dad has got some biz meeting there..

we stayed pretty near Chinatown, which is good cos it's near to all kinds of public transport and Paddy's Market, which is only open on thurs, fri, wkends and public hols..

they sell fruits, vegs, seafood and stalls selling souveniers.. bought some fruits to try back in the hotel.. the rock melon is really sweet! and it only cost A$1!!!!

had jap food for dinner.. seems to be a pretty popular place cos there's quite a long queue.. but it was pretty worth it, cos the sushi are damn nice! (but damn ex too!)

interesting cup they have.. and don't mind the shiny plate on the right.. cos the plate is gold in colour and just happen that i got a bad angle..

we had around 10 plates of diff colours and it adds up to more than A$60!

was walking around the asian supermarket in the so-called shopping centre.. (Paddy's Market and the "shopping centre" are in the same building) gees.. the things sold there were cheaper than those i bought in chinatown in brisbane! so i bought some back.. haa!

(it's those 1cent type) and i won A$54!!! hahaa!! damn happy ok.. cos of all the times i went, i've only won once.. and it's only A$6.. and the rest of the times, i lose..

anyway, took a train to Gold Coast on saturday.. (it only takes arnd 1hr) cos dad is meeting someone there.. aft the meeting, we went to check out the beach.. gosh.. the bus journey took us almost 1hr! BUT!!! it was definitely worth the time.. cos the beach was awesome!!

i having a wk of holidays!! omg.. i rather not have any holidays and finish sch earlier!!

anyway, i caught my first movie here! haaa! watched Step Up 2.. it was initially the singapore society kind of outing.. but the turn up rate was damn horrible.. other than the "committee", there's only us.. cos the "committee" were too slow, Step Up 2 was already full.. luckily we've bought the tix already.. (it's really complicating.. anyway, i didn't know anyone there except for the gal i know from the same tutorial class who is also singaporean.. anyway, so her friends n her friends' friends came along.. so there were abt 12 of us, cant recall)

anyway, there's alot of "socializing".. but overall, they're nice ppl.. we did take some pics.. i'll upload them when i manage to get them.. ha!

anyway, the show was not bad.. but if some of the dances are more fancy, i think it will be even better.. heh.. part of the grp wanted to head for some coffee, but i decided not to.. went home with 2 other gals who lived pretty near me.. they're planning to catch "Phantom of the Opera".. they'll let me know when they confirm the date.. =)

its canned spaghetti with rice and a bowl of cream of chicken and mushroom.. gosh.. luckily i mix rice with it.. cos its sooo not nice.. haaa! luckily i've got a bowl of soup too! haa!

this is much more nicer.. it's rice with corn and baked beans with apple juice.. it's not canned corn ok.. it's fresh corn!! coat the corn with butter, then microwave it for arnd 7mins.. then, cut the corn.. aft tt, cook the corn with butter with a little salt.. ta-daaa!!! now u've got really tasty corn.. just like those cup corn in singapore.. hhaaa! then mix it with rice n baked beans.. wohoo!! nice!! =)

was emailing with shir yesterday and she asked if i had free incoming call on my aussie mobile, which is definitely a yes! a while later, i received a call with a private num.. and the moment i hear the voice, i knew it was shirley!! i was really shocked and touched.. i couldn't help but cry.. cos i really miss singapore and every1 in singapore ALOT!!

didn't know that she was crying at the other end until she told me in the email aft we hung up.. ha! shir was telling her bf tt both of us were crying on the phone.. but her bf thinks that we're 2 idiots crying on the phone.. wth..

anyway, shir was complaining that she keeps seeing the same bowl of rice on my blog.. so im posting another one..

its actually kangaroo steak.. it looks like charcoal in the pic here, but its actually not ok.. there isn't enough light cos im using my phone to take it.. its actually quite tasty! its already marinated.. so i just need to cook it.. =)

sheesh.. im really really sad.. i think i miss singapore. i miss home. i miss all my friends in singapore. i miss everything and everyone! the total num of times i've cried this wk is alot more than the total num of times i've cried for the past 5 years (at least)..

was chatting with shir just now.. and she's asking me to update my blog more often.. ha! alright.. here comes one..

dinner for friday was this :

u guys must be thinking, this pic is just like the one in the previous post.. but its NOT!! i've added carrots in the eggs this time round!! more nutritious!!! HAHAAA!!

i keep it warm in the rice cooker till this morning and had it as lunch.. ha! the egg tastes weird though.. i guess is the smell of baked beans got mixed with taste of egg..

in the afternoon, went to do some grocery shopping.. gosh.. i wonder why i'm always torturing myself by buying so much and make myself carry it such a long way.. tsk tsk.. but the thing is, they look pretty manageable when they're sitting in the trolley.. hahaa!!

anyway, as for dinner today, it was quite troublesome.. since the steak i made failed last wk, i've always wanted to give it another try.. so, i tried it again.. my hsemate was downstairs cooking dinner too..

so, when i wanted to flip the steak when it was in the oven, the moment i opened the cover, smoke came out.. well, its supposed to be normal right.. but the smoke alarm was activated!! it was beeping like crazy.. luckily the landlord has a convenience store just opposite.. ran to him for help.. hahaa!

he said we were pretty lucky, so the smoke detector in the kitchen wasn't connected to the fire brigade.. if not, the fire brigade will be here in no time.. ha!

anyway, aft the switched off the oven, i didn't dare to open the cover.. so i was thinking, my steak will be gone again.. so aft quite some time, i opened the cover.. (by this time, there's no more smoke)

guess what! the steak this time round is much better than the previous one!! hohoo!! but if it wasn't that cooked, it will be better.. ha!

it's kinda blur and i've already eaten almost half of it.. at the right corner, its the mashed potato i made..

quite a few ppl were interested in what i had been having for dinner.. ha! so i'll just publicize here instead..

aft eating my own-made beef bolognese sauce for a few days (sometimes with mashed potatoes, sometimes with pasta, sometimes with rice), i had to think of something else to eat.. while i need some time to think, i had cereals with milk for dinner for around 2 nights.. i grilled my own steak on saturday (it was overcooked though).. sunday was a few slices of garlic bread with a bunch of grapes..

yesterday, i fried some eggs with onions had it together with baked beans..

this was for lunch and dinner..

as for today's dinner, i microwaved the instant beef stew i bought from the supermarket and had it with rice.. =) thats all for now! =)

saturday was spent at DFO.. i think it means Direct Factory Outlet or something like that.. need to take a train there and transfer to a bus.. bought 4 pairs of sunnies, a set of bikini and a water bottle for sch.. ha! (its summer!! need lots of water!!) bought 2 pairs of flats for my sis.. cos she can hardly get any shoes in singapore.. ha! dad bought 2 pairs of berms.. (trying to act young) and bought 2 tops from Oakley for bro..

dinner was just heating the mutton dad bought from sydney and the spaghetti sauce i've cooked..

sunday was down to Brunswick St.. (chinatown) took a train down.. the train station was really empty..

tried dim sum there.. gees.. no comments.. ha! went to a convenience store there to do some grocery shopping.. headed back to the city.. went to look around for coolers.. cos the past 2 days is too unbearable.. but we didn't get them in the end.. too big n ex!! 700+!!!!

the landlord previously told us that Bretts Wharf serves nice seafood.. so we decided to head there.. took CityCat down.. omg.. standing on the deck is damn cold!! its a pretty long journey.. from almost sunset...

the food was worth the journey! i had fish, dad had crayfish.. oh.. we ordered raw oysters too.. those ppl who know me, will know that i don't eat oysters.. but i still gave it a try.. omg.. its nice!! totally changed my opinions of oysters!! its sweet!! can u imagine?!! i can taste the freshness!! im seriously not exaggerating man..

both of our dishes are good too!! their ingredients are damn fresh! had a dessert wine to end the meal.. btw, its quite a nice wine too! ha!

monday was attending the first and only lecture for the day.. omg.. the lecture hall's air-con is spoilt!!! so, 200+ ppl are in the small lecture hall without any air-conditioning.. gosh.. luckily it was raining, so it wasn't that hot.. if not, i would have fainted inside..

it was just the first lecture and i was already given the due date of an assignment.. gosh.. its a grp assignment.. will need to grp with ppl in my tutorial class.. so i'll wait till then..

got to experience summer today! the moment i wake up today, i see sunlight through my window blinds.. bad.. dad is still here with me, but i've been pestering him everyday to go back early.. haa! he's leaving for sydney today, will be back tml and will fly back to singapore on monday..

first session of the day is about working while studying.. things like applying for a working visa, the num of hrs tt we're able to wrk, etc.. its supposed to end at 11, but it ended earlier.. decided to head to the city to get some stuff to cook for dinner.. (since my dad is not arnd, i'll cook.. cos i dun like him to stand arnd n say lots of irritating stuff)

got my ingredients and headed back home.. watched a few episodes of taiwan drama on youtube and headed back to sch again for another session.. this time, it's abt safety.. safety in the water, roads, etc.. aft 1hr, i headed home again.. this time, i walked home.. (i've been walking to sch everyday, but taking a bus home everytime..) its a wrong choice.. cos while walking half-way, i felt like shitting! yea! shit!!

couldn't turn back, so i could only continue walking and keep telling myself "I CAN DO IT!".. managed to reach home.. threw everything on the floor and rushed to the toilet!! *phew* just made it.. HAHAAA!!!

a few more episodes of the drama and i headed downstairs to cook my dinner.. glad tt there isn't anybody around.. if not, it will be damn stressful.. ha! i will be cooking bolognese sauce with mashed potato.. heh.. sounds good right?!

it turned out to be like F&N practical exam.. very busy.. put the potatoes to boil till soft.. during tt process, i was busy cutting carrots, mushrooms, garlic, onions.. other than these, i had a can of diced tomatoes n 1 bottle of pasta sauce.. had difficulty opening the pasta sauce.. luckily a guy living downstairs came back.. asked for help.. *phew* otherwise my bolognese will be gone!!

the bolognese went pretty well.. time to check out the potatoes.. they're soft and ready to be mashed!! so while mashing, the sauce is there to boil to soften the carrots.. ha! while peeling the skins n mashing the potatoes, i need to remember to stir the sauce! VERY busy..

anyway, the sauce turned out to be quite a big pot.. should be able to last me 3 meals.. ha! since today its with mashed potatoes, tml shall be pasta and maybe the day after tml with rice.. HAHAAA!!

anyway, if you guys have any easy recipes, feel free to let me know! there are microwave and conventional ovens in my place here! =)

saturday was over to Norman Hotel at Ipswich Road.. the place is packed man! 1st time i see so many ppl at late hours..

anyway, its pretty cool.. aft u order what u want from the counter, u're given a device like this..

then u go back to ur table to sit and wait.. when this device beeps and vibrates, ur food is ready for collection!! (self-service) 4got all about taking pics cos the steak looks too delicious! can't wait to lay my knive on it.. ha!

still early to head back.. so dad and i headed to the casino.. (dressed like under 18? they wanted to check my ID.. haa!) anyway, the casino is filled with ppl too.. just stood around watching ppl play.. played a little jackpot.. 1cent ones! hahaa!

2nd floor of the casino is like a mini club!! there's a live band with ppl dancing around.. one of the exits of the mini club is more tables for gambling!! cool man! but i seriously wonder how those ppl gamble with those deafening music..

hello every1!! greetings from brisbane!!! HAHAAA!!!

everything has been great till now.. but i haven found any accommodation yet.. initially, i've already seen one that i kinda like.. but we didnt confirm with them.. (there were 6 vacant rooms then) when i called them today to check if its still available, all the 6 rooms were goneee!!!!! omg..

now, there's one room over there which is more ex, but with air-con n bigger room.. but it's only available on the 18th!!! n the rental is bloody A$220!!! well, it includes everything like electricity and internet, and the room comes with my own bathroom, but isn't still kinda ex?!!!

internet connection in the hotel is bloody ex.. every connection has a charge.. connection fee is A$5 and we're still charged every min! every min cost like 50cents!!! isn't it ex? gosh.. so im at the internet cafe using the computers here..

ohh!! n since the time here is 2hrs later than singapore, 10pm here is actually 8pm in singapore.. so, i have a little problem falling aslp on the first day.. haa! but the 2nd day was fine.. shops are closed around 5 to 5.30pm.. which is actually around 3pm in singapore.. so these days, my dinner is around 6pm here, which is only 4pm in singapore.. so i usually go to slp feeling quite hungry at night.. haaa!! so, the clever me went to the supermarket to get some bread, milk and fruit juice.. bought some apples to try too! at least my dad n i wouldn't need to go hungry at night.. LOL!

went to UQ these 2 days to attend some sessions regarding orientation, getting accommodation, etc.. n they start like 9.30am!! 7.30am in singapore!! grr.. have been cabbing to sch.. HAA! n cab is not cheap!! the meter ticks faster than singapore cab man.. simply at the traffic light, it has gone up by 80 cents!!! imagine..

anyway, things here are kinda ex compared to singapore.. so sometimes i really wonder if it is really the right thing for me to come over n study.. hahaa!! alright.. thats all for now.. till i get my accommodation n internet, cyaa!!!

went to had my wisdom tooth operation on friday.. at first, it didn't hurt so much.. but later in the afternoon, it hurt quite abit.. forced myself to go to slp.. haha! slept till around 7pm and it worked!! had a little porridge when i woke up.. by 2am, im slping again.. didn't dare to lie down while slping cos i was worried that it will bleed worse.. (bleeding hasn't stop) so, i was on my bed but sitting against the wall.. i managed to slp till the next morning.. well, ppl who know me will know i can slp in all kinds of positions.. LOL!!!

even though i dunno when is the offical last day of wrk, but now, i dun have any mood to do any wrk!!! omg.. i juz wanna slack around.. surf sites at times, watch shows online, etc..

went to Flutes for lunch with chai n ju on friday.. rach couldn't make it cos her bro is leaving today.. thats good sad.. cos the food was nice and pretty cheap!

cos they knew the manager there, we can switch the main course in the set lunch to anything from the mains in the ala carte menu.. hohoo!! so ju had lamb, chai had quail and i had beef tenderloin.. we had white wine too!

the appetizer was not bad.. kangaroo salad.. =) i do eat veg now ok.. ju had foie gras.. it was nice!!

as for our mains, ju's lamb was good! my tenderloin was not bad either.. chai's quail is slightly on the salty side though.. but overall, great!!

dessert was not bad.. just tt maybe the pastry thingy was a little soggy? i dunno.. maybe its juz me.. ha!

everything cost us only around 30+ each! woohoo!!

took a really long lunch.. more than 2hrs!! hahaa!! no choice.. gotta enjoy the food slowly.. heh..

took day off today just to lead a "healthy lifestyle day".. ha!

met rach n chai for a badminton session at bishan sports hall.. ju couldn't make it cos she had serious flu.. chai n rach joined forces and almost got me killed.. i was running around the whole court!!!

it was really tiring.. realized tt we're all really lacked of exercise.. we booked the court for 2hrs, but we could only last 1hr.. hahaa!! well, better than nth..

went to wash up..

had Subway for lunch.. it's the healthiest food!! decided to catch a movie.. omg.. only 5 movies showing in GV Bishan!! bought Straits Times to check out AMK Hub, since it's the nearest.. actually its cos im the most undressed person.. anyway, there's no shows to watch.. omg.. how sad..

headed for manicure instead..

was racking our brains to think of smthing to do aft our manicure.. rach thought of some fish therapy.. it is where u put ur feet into a "pond" of fish, then they will eat up the dead skin on ur legs.. i've seen/heard it from somewhere, but couldn't remember where was it..

called shir for help.. ha! checked online n found the place! made a reservation n we headed down!!! had a little trouble finding parking, but it was all worth while!!

its really cool man.. 1st step, they'll inspect ur foot for any open cuts/wounds.. (u wouldn't want the fish to eat ur flesh.. ha!) 2nd, wash ur feet.. (u wouldn't wanna poison the fishes) 3rd, put ur legs into the "pond"! omg.. its pretty freaky actually.. its not as if the fishes are like small guppies.. they're bigger than that!!

the moment u put ur feet in, they go swarming towards u.. tts the scary part.. n the feeling is so.... so weird.. at first, u'll feel abit ticklish.. aft a while, u'll feel like pins & needles.. hahaa!! n when u get more used to the feeling, u can try opening the gaps in between ur toes.. the fishes will squeeze n there n nibble on ur dead skin.. ha! this is really ticklish.. but quite fun.. the feeling of the fishes swarming around ur feet is really amazing! the fishes are always swarming around me..

a 30-min session costs $38.. but we signed up the 5 sessions package, which has 1 free session.. so we decided to go for it! we'll definitely come back again anyway.. so its $63 per pax for 2 sessions.. cool!!

ur feet really feels alot smoother and for rach, it's kinda obvious that it got a little fairer..

didn't know where to go next, so we walked around velocity.. had dinner at Ichiban Boshi.. had sushi.. healthy food!!!

walked back to the place we parked the car.. didnt even take the escalator.. took the stairs!! omg.. so healthy!!

rach dropped me off at yishun.. bought some food back for my sis n i walked home from North Point!! how healthy!!!

will be going swimming next wk.. hohoo!! im proud to say that im leading a healthy lifestyle! HHAHAAAA!!!! (but i think we can only do this once a wk.. cos if we do this too often, i think i'll just die.. imagine "tau huey" diet.. sheeshh..)

woke up kinda early on saturday.. arnd 1+.. haa! yea.. considered early for me on a wkend.. anyway, headed to Uni-Ed cos my parents wanted to find out more stuff.. then was lunch, then home.. the day ended just like that..

my sunday was worse.. woke up like arnd 11+.. cos my dental appointment was arnd 12.. another wisdom tooth extraction.. so there's 1 more to go!! but tt requires an operation which gives me 1 wk of MC!!! my company is gonna kill me man.. 1wk of MC during the busiest period.. hahaaa!! i'll see how it goes..

anyway, caught Body#19 with yeow hwee at GV Yishun.. the show was at 4.35pm.. in case u guys don't know who is he, he's my seconday sch friend whom i haven meet ever since we graduated.. HAA!! we do chat online at times though.. anyway, the show is not very good.. if u're prepared for alot of horror, i guess u'll be a little disappointed..

went shopping aft wrk while waiting for my dad.. bought a pair of jeans from River Island.. they're having a sale! wanted another pair, but they didnt have my size..

anyway, went ahead with our plan without mr leong.. we met up for a movie at cck with shir's friend.. watched I Am Legend. had a little hiccup.. i got the time wrong!!! hengster called me to say its 9.15pm n i heard 10.15pm!! n when i told him i'll reach cck arnd 8+, 9+ to meet for dinner 1st, he didn't say anything even though he was kinda confused.. ha! yea.. im kinda late, but still, at least i get to catch it.. it's a pretty good show to me.. i dunno y some said its not very nice.. ha! anyway, 1st time catching a show there..

had dinner at yew tee fc.. then shir asked if we're interested in watching fireworks.. well, since we've got nth much to do n shir's friend drives, we decided to go for it.. but the time is actually already 11.45pm.. ha! went to jurong hilltop to wait.. amazingly, we were still a little early! ok.. shir's friend drove like arnd 130km/h.. there's quite alot of ppl waiting too! alright.. maybe not very clearly..

in the end, we didnt really catch the fireworks.. cos its too far away!!! try spotting it..

its so far that we cannot even hear anything.. silent fireworks.. ha! but we kinda caught 2 fireworks.. cos from my view, i can see fireworks from esplanade and vivo.. (actually not very sure if it's vivo)

while waiting for ppl to "evacuate", hengster took a puff..

headed to hengster's hse.. our intended plan was to play mahjong.. but every1 in hengster's hse seems to be slping n the whole hse is SOOOOOO quiet!!! decided not to play..

so we were juz slacking around.. chit-chatting, reading newspapers, playing PSP, etc..

our plan was to stay over at hengster's hse.. but maybe it's cos shir's friend was present, asking him to leave by himself seems mean, so shir decided to go home.. but i didnt want to.. cos cab fare is bloody EXXXX!!! with midnight surcharge, every tick of the meter is bloody 30cents!! n i haven include the surcharge for public holiday n stuff..

so i stayed over at hengster's hse.. we slpt arnd 3+ or 4+ i think.. hengster's alarm on his mobile juz had to ring at arnd 5+ and 6+!! omg.. the thing is he didnt even wake up.. tsk tsk..

went home, bathed n went out for lunch with my family.. dim sum at the dim sum restaurant at tpy.. headed to vivo next.. wanted to check out River Island for the pair of jeans.. they had it.. but when i tried, i dont really like it anymore.. ha!

its chai's bday!! omg.. we did quite alot of planning this time round.. not just a very simple celebration!! so, we met at yck at 1.30pm n hopped on to rach's car to head for our 1st stop of the day.. on the way, chai kept asking where we're going n stuff.. rach n i are so not going to answer her qns.. (ju went ahead first)

we're heading to zul's n francois' "stall" @ cherry avenue.. gosh.. got messy when there's like maple avenue and some other similar names.. while waiting for our food, i took this.. i kinda like this pic..

we had beef burger with mashed potato, prawn aglio oglio, fries & calamaris, onion soup n escargots..

the food is very good n very worth the money! each of us only paid like 15 bucks for sooo much food!!!

last stop! prawning!! cos im not sure where's the prawning place in pasir ris, we gave up on tt place.. knew of prawning in bishan, but not sure what time they close.. so, we decided to head to the one tt im more familiar with.. farmart! ha! 24hrss!!!

alright.. its been too long since i last updated.. cant remember many things.. so there's only the few recent ones.. there's xbox Guitar Hero session at rachel's hse,my company movie night and meeting up with chai for dinner..

went to rachel's hse to play Guitar Hero.. omg.. what an addictive game!! chai got hooked on it.. wanted to head to jalan kayu for "tau huey".. but its closed.. decided to head to geylang for it.. tts when i took the wheels.. had a hard time doing parallel parking again.. sheesh.. taxis.. tsk tsk.. home aft tt..

for my company's movie night, we're doing a pre-screening of National Treasure 2.. the show is not that bad.. but the few of must missed at least 20mins of the show..

it was quite a busy night.. many ppl coming, collecting their tix n stuff.. arnd 220 ppl!!! aft the movie, 3 other colleagues n me still have another show to catch.. we're catching Lust.Caution (R21) at Marina Square.. we're all worried that i'll be checked at the gate.. tried dressing up a little more formal.. partially due to the movie nite.. didn't even pin up my fringe!! (in case u all didn't know, i've been pinning up my fringe these days, cos its too irritating..) ha! efforts not in vain.. the show was great!

a few days ago, chai called me up while i was at wrk to ask me for the directions to Far East.. ha!! gave her clear directions, but she still ended up at the wrong place.. met her for dinner at Ichiban Boshi.. ate lots.. went to meet joel at bishan.. joel tay! haven meet him ever since we graduated.. lol! he looks different now.. had starbucks at thomson plaza, then teh tarik at prata house.. sent me home aft tt.. tkx!!

continuing the update of my trip.. ha! aft macau, it was to hongkong.. shopping paradise!!

had our lunch at a mini cafe at the jetty.. the food was actually not bad!! then we're on our way to hongkong!

checked in.. it's the hotel tt dad always stays when he's in hkg.. a very nice hotel!! Lang Ham Hotel (Mongkok)!! quite a few dramas were filmed here.. there's a shopping center just beside it and it's linked from the hotel..

just when we reached orchard, stephanie, my colleague called.. without realising that our salary wasn't deposited into our acc, she went shopping.. so she was asking if i could help her out.. well.. since she was just at paragon.. i went to her rescue.. ha!!

aft settling her bill, we headed to metro together with my friend in search for a present.. there're lots n lots of gift packages! omg.. super tempting.. luckily, stephanie is a good shopping partner.. haa!! only bought earrings from accessorize.. earrings at $13.90 at 70% discount!! how could i stop myself!!

dinner at coffee club.. called for cab for quite a while b4 getting a cab.. my friend n i shared a cab cos he lives in bishan.. could drop him off 1st..

met up with hengster and shir on sunday.. our plan was to go prawning.. had lunch at lot1.. then hengster said tt it's en jing's bday.. he's actually hengster's friend.. 4got how we got to know him.. anyway, so he's holding a bbq arnd yishun area n hengster is asking us along.. well.. since we're kinda considered acquaintance, we decided to go.. since we cant possibily go empty-handed, we bought him a capital land voucher..

its not like voucher as in like paper.. it's like a credit card!! with visa written on it and we can add his name to the card too!

the troublesome shir insist on going home to change into some nicer looking bottom cos she don't really wanna go to yishun wearing casual shorts.. omg.. in the end, she came out with berms n heels!! wth.. when i was dressed like shit.. grrrr..

took a cab to farm mart.. there's lots of ppl!!

decided to walk arnd 1st to see if ppl were leaving..

when we got back, it was a smaller crowd indeed!! decided to try out for 1hr.. kinda excited.. ha! cos it's my first time prawning.. lol!!

but it seems like it wasn't a fruitful one.. cos we didn't get anything for that whole hr!! we could only see the uncle opposite us keep throwing prawns in his net.. sheesh.. i think he must be there for quite a while.. cos when he was leaving, he was packing the prawns into a really big plastic bag!!! grrr.. he must have got all the prawns in the pond.. cos aft he left, nobody really seem to get any prawns.. haaa!!

aft our 1hr, we left, cos we dun wanna go to en jing's bbq that late.. was planning to catch a movie aft the bbq.. took the shuttlebus back to ckk..

headed to hengster's hse for him to put all his barang barang back.. cos his brought along a container to put the prawns.. but who knows! we didnt get any.. haaa!! had dessert at his hse.. checked the movie timings.. hengster wanted to watch Enchanted.. though i've watched it, i dun mind watching again, but seems like shir wasn't really interested.. caught Hero instead..

the bbq was kinda boring.. cos we dunno anybody there except en jing and another guy.. but 1 of his friend was kind enough to offer us some food.. had a little adventure there.. cos we went to the toilet at a coffeeshop nearby.. while heading back, hengster was startled by a cat resting at a flight of stairs.. and aft tt, tt cat kept following us around.. as every1 knows, hengster is afraid of cats.. so we were trying ways to shake it off.. it finally left us alone when we're reaching the bbq pit..

managed to catch sunset on the plane.. no difference with the sunrise i saw while on the flight to japan.. ha!!

shir n wh got the craving to go clubbing on saturday.. so we really went.. initially, i wasn't very interested.. but i've agreed previously.. so i didn't have a choice..

met at Marina Square at arnd 7pm.. had dinner at Kenny Rogers.. wh wanted to reach there by 10.30pm so it will be cheaper.. well.. so we decided to go there b4 that.. when we finished walking arnd, it was already 10pm!! n when we reached the taxi stand, there was a pretty long queue.. knowing tt calling wouldn't work (due to my past experience), we waited..

even though we waited for quite a while, we still managed to reach there slightly later than 10.30pm!! n wh need not pay so much for the cover charges!! lame right..

anyway, since it was still early, we decided to check out if Plush was near us.. it was supposed to be at Central Mall.. but we couldn't really remember if the one just opposite Clark Quay was Central Mall.. so it wasn't when we reached there.. haaa!! at least we wasted some time.. LOL!!!

headed back to MOS.. found a corner, got some drinks n started chit-chatting.. then, shir's friend came.. he brought a friend along.. then somehow, the friend brought/bumped into another friend.. then we started hanging out together..

it was shopping with shir.. got a shock when i met her at somerset mrt station.. she was wearing a dress!!! but not those really casual ones ok.. the worst thing is, she wore it with heel!! guess wat.. i was wearing shorts n flats!! kinda awkward right.. hah!! had lunch at the cafe in OG orchard point..

was shopping arnd OG orchard point, robinsons at centrepoint, heeren, john little and taka.. walked for quite some time man.. amazingly, shir can still walk arnd in her heels.. had sakae sushi for dinner..

shir managed to buy what she wanted.. her foundation refill and her braun buffel wallet..

planned to have a picnic at the botanical gardens with rachel.. we met at orchard at arnd 3pm.. decided tt we shouldn't go there so early.. cos it would be too sunny.. so we decided to walk arnd, get some snacks, then we go get the food for our picnic..

we planned to get some snacks from Cold Storage @ taka and delifrance/subway.. suddenly, rach suggested tt we could get soup from Soup Spoon too.. so we decided that we should head to Paragon to get the soup 1st, then head back to taka to buy all the food..

thank god we decided to head to Paragon 1st!!! cos the moment we came out, we couldn't believe what we saw!!! it was raining cats and dogs!!!!! gosh.. our picnic outing is gone just like that.. and there's no way we're going for picnic even aft the rain, cos it would be too muddy..

then we walking arnd aimlessly.. cos we've got no backup plans!!!! did a little shopping instead.. aft orchard, headed to marina square for a little more shopping..

the shopping center on the whole is kinda cooling.. but the 2 shops we went in were really hot.. couldn't take it.. i was going mad n rach is gonna have a headache soon.. had waraku for dinner.. decided tt we should have smthing cold.. had cold noodles and sashimi with ice green tea!!! n we were feeling quite cold aft that.. HAAAA!!!

we're finally going for our camping trip!! well, we've been talking abt it for quite some time.. but as u all know, we're always just TALKING abt it.. we didn't make it come truth.. not this time, its not true!! cos we're really going for it!!

met shir, hengster n wh at white sands on saturday.. well, they were late!! so i just walked arnd NTUC after buying some food to fill my stomach.. too hungry.. when they were here, headed to KFC for lunch.. i didnt eat much cos i already had some snacks b4 they arrive..

bought the necessary stuff like water, snacks, etc.. walked to pasir ris park.. tried to be clever n took a route which was actually closed.. ended up at some "nature reserve".. hengster calls it Pasir Ris New Park..

we had to climb over/under some fence in order to head to the correct track..

finally got to pasir ris park.. but it was too hot to pitch the tent.. went to rest at burger king.. chatted alot abt the time we juz met, etc.. realised tt we were laughing very loudly.. cos many ppl where there to study.. as usual, wh left early, arnd 5pm.. went continued chatting till arnd 6+.. left burger king to search for a place to pitch our tent..

turned out that it was quite easy to pitch the tent!! i think we got in up in less than 10mins.. threw our belongings inside n jumped in to rest!!

shir started to chat the phone, hengster was feeling slpy, n i feel aslp.. haaaa!!

in the middle of the nite, shir n hengster complained of being cold.. so they zipped up one side of the window.. (there are 2 layers at the window.. one of them is netted, to prevent insects from flying/crawling in.. and the other is to cover up totally, with no holes..) cos i was feeling quite warm, so the other window was keep with the netted one..

woke up due to the rain.. rain drops were splashing at me.. zipped up totally.. woke up in the morning to find that rain has stopped.. open the "window" immediately.. too warm..

had Honey Corn Flakes with mineral water for breakfast.. it actually tastes not bad!!

time to pack up! cos if we pack up during afternoon time, it would be very sunny..

hotel stayover is postponed once again.. cos dear rachel forgot that she has a test or something on saturday.. lol!! nvm.. nxt wk!!!

luckily, seems like my camping trip is not gonna be cancelled!! hohoo!! met up with shir n hengster for dinner @ lau pa sat.. eat till we drop.. haa! since we're too full, walked to the merlion and sat there to chill.. took some pics.. but it was too dark.. my phone's flash didn't have much of an effect.. so i decided try doing a little touch-up.. (since im so bored at work)

nice scenery.. =)

we were there to spoil the ambience.. cos everywhere arnd us were couples.. but the 3 of us were there chit-chatting n laughing very loudly.. all tkx to mr heng.. lol!

we planned our camping trip! finally we're really doing something abt it!

here's the checklist :
- torch light that can light up the whole tent (otherwise it will be pitch black at night)
- poker card (or other entertainment)
- tidbits
- drinks (n also water to wash our hands, in case)
- mosquito coil (if available, mosquito coil container)

stayed there till arnd 10+.. walked to esplanade.. shir n hengster went to take a train while i decided to take a cab from the taxi stand at esplanade.. when i was there, i was pretty shocked.. alot of ppl there!! there were alot of ppl queuing and alot of ppl calling for cabs.. i tried calling 3 times n in all 3 times, it says tt there are no available cabs within the area.. omg.. wth is happening man.. y is everyone taking/calling for cabs? finally at the 4th attempt, i managed to get a cab!! gosh.. i couldn't believe it.. the whole process took almost 30mins!! i could have reached home if i took a train!!!!

anyway, i was slping like a log in the cab.. n the cab driver have to ask me directions when im already uber tired..

reached home, took my bath n started doing my wrk.. did my wrk till arnd 2+.. gosh.. couldn't believe it.. n i had to wake up arnd 6+, 7am, which explains y i feel so slpy today.. zzzzzzz...

thats how boring work has been.. im blogging in my office!!! how i wish i can go play some games.. its not that my office block those sites.. is just that i would be seen by others.. so i cant play!! grrr.. anybody know of any game sites that have small window? then at least it wouldn't be that bad.. HAA!!

have been slacking at work these few days.. nth much to do.. no major release coming up.. so i've been leading a very slack-y life.. so u ppl out there, when u're online, chat with me!!

was a little busy last week cos there were quite a few concalls, and my dear email buddy, shir, has been complaining abt this.. cos during my concalls, i dun have time to reply her mails.. haa! yea.. in case u still dont know, we're still communicating thru emails since internship.. just tt we're now short of hk n dyy..

gosh.. i think im gonna fall aslp damn soon.. someone pls entertain me!!!!!

got quite a few plans for this wk.. might be meeting shir n hengster for dinner tml.. might be staying over at some hotel with rach n her cousin.. might be camping at pasir ris park/changi beach park/east coast park with shir n hengster on saturday.. yea.. exciting huh.. thats only if everything is on.. if not.. boring....

my great-grandma passed away on sunday.. rituals done on tues.. i thought i could take it.. but whenever i go over n see her there, i couldn't control my tears.. when i see her being cremated, i totally broke down..

when i went back to wrk on weds, i broke down again when i recalled what happened the previous day.. i blame myself for not visiting her when she was hospitalised.. blaming myself for not being there to see her.. n i couldn't stop blaming myself..

it's my mum's bday on sunday.. yea.. gotta spend money to buy presents again.. went out in the afternoon in search of presents..

actually i don't have any idea on what to buy.. so i was just walking arnd, window-shopping.. bought clothes for my mum in the end..

haa!! cos it was like shopping for myself.. i bought some stuff for myself too, of cos..

dad picked me up, then picked my mum n sis.. my bro n his gf headed there at the same time.. had dinner at this place called Bottle Tree Park..

gosh.. it's very packed.. luckily my dad had already made a reservation.. well, to me, the food isn't that great.. it's just normal.. i wonder what made the ppl head there.. sheesh.. the pond for prawning is sooo small.. n while i was there watching, nobody caught anything for arnd 20mins or so.. tsk tsk.. tts how bad it is..

even though i haven got the chance to try prawning yet, i think the one near jurong bird park is not bad.. cos i've watched ppl fish for prawns there.. n it seems like it's kinda easy to catch them.. haa! the good thing is tt its very big!! hengster, when are you gonna bring us to try out prawning?!?! grrr.. (now i got reminded of the time we meet hengster in clark quay, n he was carrying his fishing rod.. HAAA!!)

i finally managed to get the pics from rach!! here's a long entry!! =)

having fun these few days.. on friday (14 Sep), met rachel at vivo for dinner aft wrk.. had dinner at akashi.. (smthing like tt) since it was

still early, we were thinking of places to go.. wanted to go for some drinks.. but drinking means no driving.. so, we drove the car back to her hse then we took a cab to Liquid Kitchen at serangoon gardens.. on the way, somehow i had the idea of calling ju, huey n chai.. yea.. play a prank on them..

so we settled down in Liquid Kitchen..

im no longer cursed!! my drink was nice ok!!

called chai.. but it says invalid num.. i have proof! see!!!

so i called huey nxt.. she didn't pick up her phone!! i've got proof as well!!

well, guess she didn't change her bad habits even aft she went to adelaide.. haaa! called ju aft tt.. finally there's somebody picking up the phone!!

left Liquid Kitchen in search of some other food.. headed to chomp chomp.. but there wasn't any seats available.. went for some ice-cream instead.. found a decent place to settle down..

next up, chai!!! both of us predicted her reactions.. she'll definitely start screaming n laughing, etc.. (got her num frm ju.. so i typed the num wrongly in my phone.. ha!)

so, we had a similar start.. you know.. telling her we juz reached perth n stuff.. haa!! then......

chai : so where r u guys staying? (cos her frenz in the background didn't believe us, n getting her to ask us alot of qns)
r & d : we're staying at hilton hotel!! (cos we're thinking there's hilton hotel everywhere.. ha!)
chai : omg!! r u sure? how much is that per nite?
r & d : err.. we're not sure.. rach's dad is paying for us.. (tt is totally believable.. cos its highly possible.. n tt made her believed us totally..)
chai : omg!! (yea.. she starting screaming n saying things tt rach n i couldn't really understand)

aft a while, we broke the news.. then she started abusing us verbally non-stop!! LOL!!! n she can't stop when we were telling her we're in serangoon gardens n stuff.. luckily she's gonna be back soon, cos she's missing alot of food here.. ha! took some pics while toking on the phone, but
not very nice ones.. cos we were concentrating on the call.. trying very hard to here wat she's trying to say n stuff..

celebrated my bro's bday on friday.. didn't really know what to buy.. probably a belt.. cos he has been using one very lousy one for quite a while..

so after wrk, headed to taka in search of a nice belt.. went to a few places, but didn't see any nice.. armani exchange, zara, calvin klein, ted baker n maybe some other places tt i couldn't remember didn't have anything nice.. decided to try my luck in levis..

well, finally found something decent.. took quite a while to decide on the size.. had to keep a distance from the sales guy.. cos he got a really strong cigarette smell.. n it's those disgusting kind.. lousy cigarette i guess.. haa!!

dad picked me up at taka, then picked my bro n his gf up at tanjong pagar.. had dinner at a korean restaurant at Amara hotel.. the name of the restaurant :

i know i haven been blogging for a while, but in fact, i've already drafted out my post while im slacking at wrk!! but the thing is, i haven got any pics from rach yet.. n many of u have been telling me to post more pics.. so i shall juz wait till i get hold of the pics..

in the meantime, u can juz wait... hHAA!! nah.. maybe i'll have small little updates like this until i post the entry which i wanted to long ago..

anyway, i'm involved in a new project with AirData.. if im not wrong, they're in-charge of doing those airport information for london.. (at least london is the only 1 i know of) so there's like info like departure, arrival, weather, etc.. have been having conference call with them for the whole of this wk.. n omg.. there's this lady who's an indian with heavy indian accent.. wats making things worse is she has those english accent combined with her indian accent.. oh.. juz thought of something worse.. she speaks super fast!! gosh.. imagine this.. u're having a conference call with london.. n the reception is damn bad.. n she speaks sooo fast with a weird accent.. gosh.. couldn't take it.. at many times, i'll be laughing away when she's speaking..
